Spud in a Bucket 2024
What a fantastic day we had celebrating our annual Spud in the Bucket competition! This year, the event was made even more special thanks to the generous support of Hinemoa Produce, who kindly donated the seed potatoes to grow a whopping 170 buckets of spuds—an incredible effort by everyone involved!
The weather may not have been on our side, with the day turning out to be wet and dreary, but that didn’t stop our community from coming together at the local Christmas fete. A big thank-you to all who braved the rain to join in the fun and show their support.
The competition was a wonderful way to bring people together and showcase our love for gardening, creativity, and a bit of friendly rivalry. The buckets of potatoes were impressive.
Congratulations to our winners who each received a $50 Hunting and Fishing voucher.
