Wild West Coast locals

A collective of like-minded locals

We share more than a catchment area

We share more than just the land we live on; we share a deep connection and a strong sense of togetherness. We help each other out, celebrate our successes together, and stand by each other in tough times.

Connecting four coastal communities as one

Our shared values and common goals make us more than just neighbours—we’re like a big, extended family spanning 40km from Port Waikato to North Whaingaroa. This unity is what makes our community special and why we’re so effective in protecting and nurturing our environment.

Our Committee

We're a community-driven force powered by a passionate and diverse committee.

Our leadership team consists of two co-Chairs and a management committee supported by a wider committee and three part-time staff. Each member plays a crucial role in driving our initiatives, which we have allocated to strategy pillars.
